Vibe Spring2025 - Flipbook - Page 4
THOUGHTS FROM THE PUBLISHER
The village of North Conway has always had a special
vibe. Unique, locally owned shops nestled between
Schouler Park, Conway Scenic Railroad, and Cranmore
Mountain, the village area has been an appealing draw

multiday trip much later than we had hoped. It was
a late midweek evening, and we assumed our dining options would be limited.
But driving through the village, we were pleasantly surprised to see that Chefs
Bistro, Horsefeathers, and newcomers to the Valley, Cheese Lousie and Saco River
Brewing Taphaus, were not only open, but quite busy and still serving dinner.
On another occasion this past winter, we left Cranmore early in hopes of

opened Breetos, on the corner adjacent to Frontside Coffee Roasters, and
minutes later, we were enjoying a couple of fresh, build-it-yourself burritos and
on our way to our next stop for the day.
And yet another time, now accompanied by friends in town for a visit, we
found ourselves again in North Conway Village sampling barrel-aged meads in
the tasting room at the new Sap House Meadery. In the blink of an eye, the village
area has grown to serve a more diverse, multi-generational crowd looking to
whet their appetites and please their palates between shopping excursions and
outdoor adventures.
Looking ahead to the summer season, these new eateries also boast outdoor
village patios, rooftop decks overlooking Moat Mountain sunsets, and will feature
live entertainment into the nights on a regular basis. Check out our article “New
Kids on the Block” on page 34 to learn more about these exciting new eateries.
I don’t know about you, but with Fourth of July celebrations just around
the corner, I’m hoping to put my name in early for a rooftop seat to fireworks in
Schouler Park.
