SKI FOR SUNSHINE
The Kennett Key Club will host the fourth annual
Ski for Sunshine event on Saturday, March 1, 2025,
from 4 to 8 p.m. Ski for Sunshine is a fun opportunity for the community to enjoy an evening on the
slopes of Cranmore Mountain while raising money
with family and friends to support Camp Sunshine.
Located on the shores of Sebago Lake in
Casco, Maine, Camp Sunshine offers free, year-round camp retreats for
children with life-threatening illnesses, along with their families. Camp
Sunshine combines respite, recreation, and support while enabling
hope and promoting joy through the various stages of a child’s illness.
The Kennett High School Key Club has supported the incredible work
at Camp Sunshine for nearly two decades through fundraising efforts
and volunteering, and invites you to join in with the effort this year by
participating in Ski for Sunshine.
Participants challenge themselves to complete a total of 15 runs as
an individual, or 60 runs as part of a four-person team. All participants
receive a lift ticket, a goodie bag, and complimentary hot chocolate and
cookies. Registrants who raise $100 (including $45 registration fee) will
also receive an event t-shirt. Along with skiing, there will also be a silent
auction. In 2024, $23,000 was raised and the club hopes to surpass this
number for 2025.
